Mining to bring 1,500 high-paying jobs to Nevada in 2012

An informal survey of Nevada Mining Association members shows that mining will create more than 1,500 new jobs in Nevada this year—and that’s a conservative estimate. These jobs, at which the average pay is more than $83,000 annually, are long-lasting positions at mines slated to operate for decades.
