Take action on H.R. 761 today!

Posted on July 08, 2013 by Minerals Make Life

Your cellphone. Your computer. Your car.

Without even knowing it, the average American uses hundreds of minerals every year.

Lifesaving medical devices, smartphones and equipment used in our national defense system…

They all need minerals as well, but an outdated permitting process forces us to rely on foreign mineral imports — creating raw material shortages and holding back American job growth.

We urgently need to pass H.R. 761, the “National Strategic and Critical Minerals Production Act of 2013.” The legislation will reverse a 30-year trend of ever-increasing reliance on foreign imports for materials we have right here at home.

World-wide competition for mineral resources is increasingly fierce, and America can no longer afford to ignore its domestic minerals potential.

This week, the House will vote on H.R. 761 – please contact your lawmaker today and encourage them to vote “yes” on H.R. 761.

Can we count on you?

Thank you.
