Lithium Key to New Military Technology

In efforts to upgrade the Joint Strike Fighter Program, the U.S. military is turning to advanced lithium battery technology to help launch military jets from ocean carriers. Lithium provides the new batteries with 10 times the charge at less than one-third of the weight of traditional batteries.
