Shopfloor, the manufacturing blog of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), shared the U.S. Department of Commerce’s report on the “Benefits of Manufacturing Jobs,” which examines the current state of the manufacturing sector and job trends.
The blogger, Emily Sternfeld, a policy associate at the NAM, shared that from January 2010 to April 2012, employment in the manufacturing sector expanded by nearly 500,000 jobs, marking the strongest cyclical rebound since the recessions in the 1980s.
