WATCH: Manufacturing Makes a Comeback

Posted on April 10, 2014 by Minerals Make Life

“Made in America” is making a comeback. After decades of outsourcing, manufacturing jobs are coming back to the U.S., with large companies like GM, BMW and Ford expanding U.S. production.

Our latest video depicts the widespread re-shoring of manufacturing operations that are expected to create between 2.5 to 5 million American jobs by 2020 – a revitalization made possible through domestic  minerals mining.

America’s manufacturing comeback relies on stable access to key mineral resources; however, our outdated, duplicative mining permitting process impedes access to $6.2 trillion worth of these resources, hindering our competitive edge and hurting the growth of domestic manufacturing.

By streamlining the federal permitting process, new mining projects would be able to more efficiently come online, contribute to a domestic manufacturing resurgence and create desperately needed jobs in both industries – mining and manufacturing.
