Mining contributes to Kentucky job growth
Mining contributed more than 500 jobs in Kentucky last year, playing a crucial role in the state’s job growth in 2011. With more than 20,000 jobs added across the state, the unemployment rate dropped from 10.2 percent in 2010 to 9.5 percent in 2011.
