Amendment to reverse Grand Canyon mining ban left off list to receive votes

An amendment to override Interior Secretary Ken Salazar’s moratorium on hardrock mining in the Grand Canyon National Park will not be part of the debate on the House’s pending surface transportation bill.

The amendment was submitted by Arizona Reps. Trent Franks (R), Jeff Flake (R) and Paul Gosar (R).
